 The fourth place in the number system, after ones, tens and hundreds is thousands.
                  The face value of a digit is the same as the digit itself, regardless of its position in the

                   number.
                 The place value of a digit depends on the place of the digit in the number.

                 Expanded form of a number is the sum of the place values of its digits.

                  When some given numbers are arranged from the smallest to the greatest, they are
                   said to be in ascending order.
                  When some given numbers are arranged from the greatest to the smallest, they are

                   said to be in descending order.
                 Predecessor means a number that is 1 less than the given number.

                  Successor means a number that is 1 more than the given number.
                  A number is rounded down to the nearest ten if its ones digit is 4 or less.

                  A number is rounded up to the nearest ten if its ones digit is 5 or more.
